The Delk Legacy

Delk Family Farms was established in 1960 with the marriage of Darrell Delk to Jennie  Groff. Darrell grew up on a farm in Brookville, Ohio, with the life-long dream to one day establish his own family farm. In 1968, Darrell and Jennie launched their dream with the purchase of the original 80-acres on Delisle-Fourman Road. While serving as teachers by day, Darrell and Jennie farmed in the evenings and on weekends with their two children. Over the span of 52 years of marriage, two children, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, Delk Family Farms has grown to over 400 acres and seen many seasons of corn, wheat, soybeans, and a variety of livestock. Cornerstones of the life Darrel and Jennie built together centered on the importance of a strong work ethic, an intrinsic love of the land, a deep commitment to family and faith, and an admiration for the divine beauty of the outdoors.
